| Synopsis |
When born as a person, hope accompanies us from birth. However, as we age, we gradually realize that everything loses significance—until death, which marks the beginning of our existence as ghosts. Being human is challenging, but it turns out that being a ghost isn’t any easier. NEWBIE, a rookie ghost, discovers with alarm that she has only 28 days left before her spirit dissipates. Enter MAKOTO, an apparently unreliable demon agent, who approaches her to join has-been demon star CATHERINE in reconstructing the legendary horror story of the Wang Lai Hotel. In the Netherworld, ghosts are just as busy as the living: without the talent for scaring people, they cannot survive in this world—life doesn’t end after death. “I don’t want to be forgotten by this world!” becomes their final conviction, and these ghosts on the brink of being completely forgotten by the living must find a way to become a terrifying sensation despite the challenges.
