The 48-Hour Film Project comes to Singapore starting Friday, November 29. Filmmakers from all over the country of Singapore will compete to see who can make the best short film (4 - 7mins) in only 48 hours!
The winner of Best Film will go on to represent Singapore as it vies for Best Film of the World against 127 other city winners.
This year, teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once the initial registration is complete, teams will be added to a waiting list.
Early Bird Registration is $140 SGD. Teams must register on or before Monday, November 18 to get this special rate. Regular registration is $170 SGD.
(Register for the film competition here!)
About the Competition
The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. On Friday night, you get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. Then it will show at a local theater, usually in the next week.
(Find out more at the official website!)
In 2012, over 50,000 filmmakers will make almost 4,000 films in 120 cities on 6 continents around the world. Over the 11 years of 48 Hour Film Project over 19,000 films have been made by 278,000 people.
