Don't Miss the Free Comic Book Day

1800 free comic books and 3 international comic artists to celebrate International Free Comic Book Day this Saturday!

To commemorate International Free Comic Book Day which falls of the first Saturday of May each year, Shaw Theatres has partnered GnB Comics to bring fans an exciting line-up of activities to celebrate the occasion this year!

1800 comic books will be given free to 900 Shaw Theatres movie-goers. Two comic books will be given out to each patron with a valid Shaw Theatres ticket stub and a Lido Facebook check-in. The four comic books that will be given away free include Marvel Entertainment: Guardians of the Galaxy, DC Entertainment: The New 52: Futures End (Dark Knight, Batman Beyond), IDW Publishing: Transformers VS GI Joe, and Papercutz: The Smurfs.

Comic artists Ivan Reis, Alan Quah and Sheldon Goh will be there to provide free caricatures and sketchings, interact and take photos with comic book fans who are dressing up for the event!
