Eng Wah Global Announces the Launch of a Vibrant Brand of Cinemas!

By InCinemas  /  20 Apr 2011 (Wednesday)

Singapore, April 19 2011 - Eng Wah Global today unveiled a new identity for its cinema operations in Singapore. Formerly known as Eng Wah Cinemas, the energetic "WE Cinemas" brand was launched at Suntec City by the Managing Director of Eng Wah Global, Ms Goh Min Yen.

Knock knock, and 'WE' are here!

Just yesterday in the evening, InCinemas was among the many guests and movie industry partners present at the revamped WE cinemas in Suntec City! Its purple waving wall and the huge screening panel arouse the curiosity of the on-lookers from far and attracting them to take a look at what's inside!

The fashionable streams of lights above lit up the lobby and certainly make the area look more spacious.  As you enter its lobby, you can't help but to notice the extended long white counter and the bold placement of the snacks and popcorns, as though welcoming you into the 'WE Cinemas' to chill out and grab something to munch on.

But wait. Isn't that a bean bag? An exclusive lounge area has been erected within the common area for consumers to hang around. We gather information that this area may most likely be booked for gatherings and small screenings in the near future. The difference in the colour of the red carpet against from the lobby's grey, makes the area exclusive and suitable for events and celebrations! We certainly like the colourful wall made of many spiral-looking  shapes at the side. It's a great background for some photo-taking =)

Check out the wall just before you are admitted into the halls to watch the movies. Determined to attract the youths into a renewed cinematic experience, Ms Goh Min Yen notes on the vibrant colours as a choice of WE Cinemas.

"The new WE Cinemas brand represents a strategic new direction as we look to expand our business locally and regionally," the Managing Director of Eng Wah Global addresses to the crowd. "The bright colours in the new logo describe the vibrancy of WE Cinemas' new personality, while retaining Eng Wah's glowing heritage. This new brand positioning is supported by WE Cinemas' vision to be a venue for movie-goers from all walks of life to watch movies in exceptional quality."

Well, even the wall has a distinctive 'line-break'  to create an unique outlook that appeals to the youngsters. Among them, you'll find a lot of 'WE's! Sounds great isn't it? We can do a lot of things together and Weeeeee!

The cinema halls feature brand new comfortable seats for the movie-goers. The bright red colours give you a VIP feel into the theatres. Only that you shouldn't pick the front few seats or you'll find yourself looking up. Go up further and due to the arrangement, the best seats are still the ones along the walkways.

We've also come to note one of the halls, Hall 3, that the seats are actually in blue! This combination of red and blue reminds me of Gnomeo and Juliet. Well, nevertheless, this comes as a surprise to want to visit the rest of the halls.

Here are the basic information of the halls in Suntec City.
