In terms of the lineup, though artistes of four countries namely Singapore, Japan, Korea and Malaysia have yet to be announced, InCinemas managed to gather a few clues from the organisers.
“For Singapore, it’s a female singer and she is very prominent. For Korea and Japan, it’s going to be a band and for Malaysia, it’s also going to be a ‘she’,” revealed Chan and Kelvin Goh, adding: “They will be our headliners (of the concert).”
Also present at the media conference were up-and-coming local talents: hip-hop ShiGGa Shay and Jeremy Teng. Both will be performing as opening acts at the Sundown Festival.
“You can probably expect dancers on my set… b-boys and stuff, so that is quite exciting,” the ‘Lion City Kia’ rapper shared. “Yeah, new songs and a lot of stage elements as well.”
For ballad singer Jeremy Teng, who represented Singapore at ‘Voice Of China 3’ earlier this year, expressed his excitement for the upcoming gig. “I’ve never performed at such a big event before and being to represent Singapore as one of the artistes is a big honour and privilege for me.”
