Dan Stevens and Luke Evans Join Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast!

The ‘Dracula Untold’ actor Luke Evans will play the villainous Gaston, while the ‘Downton Abbey’ breakout actor Dan Stevens is said to play the Beast/Prince in Disney’s live-action retelling of ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

Directed by Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) and produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, Beauty and the Beast is the latest addition to Disney’s live-action retelling of their animation classics; from Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, to the upcoming Cinderella and The Jungle Book.

Gaston is the main villain of the movie where the handsome antagonist tries to win Belle’s (Watson) heart, but leads a group of townspeople to kill the beast when Belle chose it over him.

Production will begin later this year. No release date has been set.
