Elizabeth Banks Tackles Another Wacky Role After Effie Trinket.

We loved her in The Hunger Games movie series as the out-of-the-world Effie Trinket, then came the caustic Gail in Pitch Perfect 1&2. This time, Elizabeth Banks is going bad - playing Rita Repulsa, the iconic villain in the upcoming Power Rangers movie.

We’re not surprised at the decision, not only because she excelled in the unique roles like Effie and Gail, but perhaps it’s also because the Power Rangers film needs a big name like Banks to pull the star factor.

The new ensemble of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers consists of Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), Becky G (Yellow Ranger), RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger) and Ludi Lin (Black Ranger).

The movie, revamp of the 1990s kids’ television series is slated to open InCinemas 2017!
