Bedok-ers, A New Cinema is Heading Your Way in 2018!

A spanking new Golden Village cineplex situated at the redeveloped Princess Theatre is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2018, housing six movie screens and approximately 600 seats.

Located at Bedok North Street 1, the redeveloped four-storey mall aims to bring a fun and invigorating vibe to the East. The mall will play a complementary role in the revitalised Bedok estate with an exciting array of tenants such as restaurants, cyber sports cafe and karaoke bars.

Mall-goers can also look forward to enjoying Princess Theatre’s extended operating hours, which are longer than a typical heartland mall, with a communal rooftop garden for the public to enjoy.

Says Golden Village’s Chief Executive Officer, Clara Cheo, “Over the years, residents of Bedok have been requesting for a cinema. When we were presented with such an opportunity with the redevelopment project of Princess Theatre, we seized it. Apart from a wide variety of exciting, not-to-be missed blockbusters and compelling alternative content, residents in Bedok can look forward to an unparalleled level of comfort, convenience and value at our new cinema.”

Currently, there are 11 Golden Village cineplexes in Singapore, with GV Tiong Bahru being the recently-renovated cinema which was completed in May this year.
