Confirmed 'Deadpool 2' Characters So Far

‘Deadpool’ is definitely one of 2016’s hottest sensations. Besides becoming the highest grossing R-rated film of all time and highest grossing X-men film, it was also nominated for 2 Golden Globes, 4 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and plenty more accolades that superhero films cannot typically boast.

Which characters are returning for the sequel? The titular character starring Ryan Reynolds will obviously be there. The post-credits scene has confirmed that a new character, Cable, will be in the sequel. The casting for Cable has not been announced yet.

A new character, Domino, has also been announced to be auditioning for actress last year. The sequel will also see returning characters Colossus (Stefan Kapičić), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), and our favourite taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni). We still do not know if we will see the return of Deadpool’s love interest Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), best friend Weasel (T.J. Miller), and roommate Blind Al (Leslie Uggams).

Although the financial success and critical acclaim of ‘Deadpool’ should make the return of the characters and actors a no-brainer, the sequel has had a turbulent journey. The first film’s director Tim Miller quit due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds. The composer Junkie XL soon followed Tim Miller out.
