An Apt Opportunity to Smurf Together

THE SMURFS in 3D opens in theatres on 1 September 2011. The date is easy to remember and the presence of The Smurfs has been strong not just in TV commericials and newspaper advertisements, but also out in our world! The Smurfs can also be found in Bugis Junction (near water fountain), Handy Road Open Space (near The Cathay), *Scape Youth Park and Sony store at Isetan Orchard, Wisma Atria! Not just all, Papa Smurf, Clumsy and our beautiful Smurfette has been going around Singapore! And just last Monday, they graced THE SMURFS Gala Premiere at The Cathay and saw many of the Smurfs supporters in blue or in their Smurf apparels! Even at InCinemas, we must admit that we got Smurf'ed really "badly". (Picture)
Those who had been to the event and watched the Gala Premiere of THE SMURFS would have smurf'ed that it is Smurf-tastic! There's popcorn in blue (Smurf-themed) for sale at the counters, a huge Smurf portal covered with little blue creatures welcoming you into the halls and 3 lovely mascots awaiting to greet you! You have the Smurfy ambience all about your childhood favourites!
Blue has become the trendy colour that associate with the Smurfs and not sadness or unhappy emotion in the presence of these adorable blue creatures! It has become a positive colour that reminds some of their happy moments in their childhood!
Notice a throng of Smurfs high up on the header! Smurfs of all kinds gather together!

Thanks for the THE SMURFS Gala Premiere tickets. I smurf you, Incinemas.sg. Oop, I means "I love you". I smurf enjoyed this movie and so do my mum. I would rate this movie 4 stars as it was smurf entertaining. I think I have picked up the SMURF language. LOL.
"La~la~la~la~la. Sing a happy song." The lyrics kept repeating in my mind.
This movie rekindled my childhood memories of watching SMURFS on ...our Mitsubishi 21" colour CRT TV. Gorgamel looks exactly the same as in TV animated series. I smurf Clumsy and Papa Smurf, they are so adorable. Watching it in 3D enhances the SMURF experiences as they popped up right in front of you.
These tiny little blue beings really chase all my Monday blues away. That's the power of BLUE. A must watch movie. Thumbs up. I might catch it again in 2D when it release islandwide on 1st Sept. |

Dang! In less than a week's time, we will all be able to watch the adorable Smurfs on the big screen! Smurf-tastic! In additon, 1st September marks the occasion Teacher's Day and together, students and teachers can enhance their teacher-student relationship on this significant day by going to a Smurf-movie outing together! It would be a great opportunity to bond with one another.
And an interesting analogy comes to my mind. Wouldn't it be interesting to relate our unpredictable students as the Smurfs, while the teachers as the humans in the movie?
In the trailer below, Patrick Winslow (Neil Patrick Harris) got 'attacked' by the Smurfs and he told his wife not to be fooled by their cuteness. To Patrick's surprise, his wife has already been mesmerised by the Smurfs when she replies, "They're friendly <3"
In a way, the Smurfs, I mean the students have their good points awaiting to be nurtured. It'll be Smurfy-great to live in harmony together. The students must play their part too!

With so many Smurf characters and common points to relate on, THE SMURFS is an apt opportunity for the teachers and students to bond together. So to the students, invite your beloved teachers to the Smurf outing together and sing along the tune. La La la lalala~ Sing a happy song~!
