An Andy Warhol biopic starring Jared Leto is in the works!

The Andy Warhol biopic has been confirmed by the star of the film himself, Jared Leto.

Warhol was a hugely popular painter in the 1960s, and his most famous work includes the classic Campbell’s soup cans and the Marilyn Diptych, both of which he made in 1962.

Titled Warhol, the biopic it is based on Victor Bockris's book, Warhol: The Biography, and adapted by The Wolf of Wall Street screenwriter Terrence Winter.

Fans of Leto should be familiar with his penchant for undergoing dramatic transformations to get into character such as Mark David Chapman in Chapter 27, the Joker in Suicide Squad and a HIV-positive trans woman with a drug addiction in Dallas Buyers Club. Him undertaking the role of the eccentric artist Andy Warhol would definitely make an interesting film.
