Alfred Molina is set to reprise a fan favourite Marvel character he played almost 20 years ago!

Alfred Molina first starred as villain Doctor Octopus in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 back in 2004 and now it looks like he's set to reprise the fan favourite character!

The third installment of the now Tom Holland-led superhero blockbuster will see Molina's return alongside Jamie Foxx who will reportedly appear as Electro, a villain he first played opposite Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The upcoming web-slinging adventure is expected to feature multiple generations of Spider-Man actors which has fans crossing fingers and toes for Garfield and Tobey Maguire's (who played the web-slinging hero in Raimi's trilogy) return.

Spider-Man 3 will also include Marvel Cinematic Universe crossovers with Benedict Cumberbatch making an appearance as Doctor Strange. The film is planned for theatrical release sometime in December 2021.
