The full trailer to
Train to Busan: Peninsula
is here and it reveals a massive post-apocalyptic cinematic world! The blockbuster is slated to open in Korea cinemas this summer.
Train to Busan: Peninsula
tells the story of humanity in the face of desperation and also reflects the independence and resilience of a woman and her children in a deranged world – defying society’s stereotypical notions of age and gender.
Jung-seok (Gang Dong-won) barely escaped South Korea alive when the zombie outbreak swept the entire nation. While living a life of despair in Hong Kong, he receives an enticing offer to return to the quarantined peninsula.
His mission is to retrieve an abandoned truck in the middle of Seoul within a time limit and escape the peninsula quietly. But his operation goes haywire when a mysterious militia known as Unit 631 ambushes Jung-seok’s small team, and vicious hordes of zombies get on his tail.
In his most desperate moment, Min-jung’s (Lee Jung-hyun) family saves him and with one last chance, he plans his escape from the peninsula once and for all.
Starring Gang Dong-won, Lee Jung-hyun and child actress Lee Re, the trailer teases audiences with captivating visual effects, high-octane action scenes, and an intense mise-en-scene that culminates in a post-apocalyptic blockbuster of a scale unprecedented in Korean films.
With a 20-minute car chase sequence, post-apocalyptic visuals created by more than 250 visual effects artists, and upgraded zombies that are more sensitive to light and sound,
Train to Busan: Peninsula
is a vast expansion of the cinematic universe from a KTX train to a ruined cityscape littered with abandoned cars and stranded ships.

The final instalment of director Yeon Sang-ho’s zombie trilogy is an Official 2020 Selection at the Cannes Film Festival and it marks the first time two Korean films set in the same cinematic universe have been invited back-to-back to the prestigious festival.
Train to Busan: Peninsula
is co-distributed by Clover Films and Golden Village Pictures in Singapore.
