The Addams Family are returning to the big scream next Halloween!

In a turn of unexpected events, MGM Studios has announced that the Adams Family will be returning with a sequel! Their return is marked for Halloween 2021, a perfectly apt date for the unconventional macabre family.

The Addams Family 2 will see the return of Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and Snoop Dogg as the voices of the spooky family including all-new characters that include Bill Hader's Cyrus. Pugsley, who was voiced by Stranger Things‘ Finn Wolfhard in the 2019 film, will now be voiced by Javon “Wanna” Walton.

Plot details of the sequel are still unknown but the studio released a brief synopsis that shows the film will focus more on the family dynamic within the family with new characters coming along for the ride.

The Addams Family started out as New Yorker cartoons created by Charles Addams and has been featured in the small and big screen, with a popular TV show in the mid-’60s and a movie in 1991, The Addams Family, which starred Anjelica Huston, Christina Ricci, Raul Julia, and Christopher Lloyd. A sequel followed in 1993, Addams Family Values, which also starred Joan Cusack.
