The Romantic Side of Lee Je Hoon.

Korean actor Lee Je Hoon once bought 100 cans of milk coffee to impress the girl he fancied - and she said yes!

“But that was 14 years ago,” he quipped at a press conference this afternoon. “I didn't know I could be this sweet until I filmed the drama. And as filming continued, I realised I was more romantic than I had thought I was.”

Lee is in Singapore to promote his latest drama ‘Tomorrow With You’, which currently airs on VV Drama (StarHub Channel 855) on Sundays at 10pm.

In the drama, his character Yoo So-joon has the ability to travel through time via a subway and thus, marries Song Ma-rin (Shin Min-a) in order to avoid his fate of a lonely and miserable man.

When asked if he, like his character, would like to know the future in real life, Lee said he rather not to, because he hopes to “live in the moment”.

“It’s good to know about the future, but there will be a time (where I have) to accept fate and the bad things will come in the way. If I know what the future holds, I will try my best now to fix the situation and not face that danger or trouble.”

“If I could teleport to the past, I hope to teleport to the days in Middle School because I really enjoyed going to school,” Lee shared, explaining: “I really look forward to meeting my friends, and teachers where I can share great stories and moments with them!”

Lee is best known for his role as the detective Hae-Young in crime drama ‘Signal’, which was well-received by fans internationally. Lee also starred in various indie films and movies prior to the 2016 drama that propelled him to fame. “There are a lot of roles that I would like to try (in the future), but as for now, I wish to take up an action role as a boxer or maybe a doctor or a lawyer,” the self-proclaimed “playful and mischievous” actor shared.

“I’ve not played any villainous characters so far, but in the future, I hope there will be opportunities to play a psychopath or a sociopath as these characters are very interesting.”

“Tomorrow With You” also stars Kim Ye-Won and Chae Dong-Hyun, and is currently airing on VV Drama (StarHub Channel 855) every Sunday at 10pm.
