Relive History in Assassin's Creed's New Trailer

Assassin’s Creed
, the film based on the popular video game franchise, just released its second official trailer. Unlike the first trailer which focuses more on the past, this trailer spends half the time in the present. It allows us to know more about the main character of this action adventure film.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
While we found out in the first trailer that Callum Lynch was (supposedly) executed, now we also know that he is a criminal. We also get to see a lot more action happening in the present, inside Abstergo Industries.

We still do not know the motivations of Abstergo Industries in the film and how much it would differ from the games. While the plot is still unclear, it seems to promise a gorgeous, action-packed film.
Assassin’s Creed
opens in theatres 22 December 2016.
